The line between a drainage problem and a sewer problem is not always clean. The sewer line carries waste from the house to the municipal main; the drainage system carries groundwater and storm water away. But they share the same pipe materials, fail for the same reasons, run under the same properties, and are often inspected and repaired with the same methods. We handle the work where the two systems overlap — sewer line repair and replacement, camera inspection, and the drainage-to-storm connections that keep both systems doing their separate jobs.
Sewer lines fail for the same reasons drainage lines do — root intrusion, age, collapse, and joint separation — but the consequences are more urgent because a sewer backup enters the house.
A sewer problem is diagnosed the same way as a drainage problem — with a camera. We run the camera from a cleanout or the main stack, locate the problem, and show you the footage before recommending repair or replacement. A sewer backup is not always a collapse; it can be a root mass that can be cut and the line kept in service. We will not recommend a sewer replacement without evidence.
A targeted repair addresses a single failed section. A full replacement is the right call when the line is extensively failed or made of a material at the end of its life. We handle the excavation (or trenchless option where viable), the connection at the property line, and the inspection and testing required before backfill.
Tell us what is happening and where. We will call you back the same business day to discuss the problem and arrange an inspection if needed.
